Adult Swim Shows You Must Watch

Adult Swim, the cousin of Cartoon Network, has a lot of great shows to offer the TV viewer. These are a few of the noteworthy examples that I hold dear to the squishy, beating thing that is my heart.

Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!
I don't even really know where to begin with this one. It's the bastard child of another great (and often under appreciated) show Tom Goes to the Mayor, it's fantastic. All I'm going to say is that I don't know how they came up with the comic genius that is Casey Tatum, or why Dr. Steve Brule (portrayed by John C. Reiley) is so charming, but they pull it off well. Watch it.

Why You Have to Watch The Mighty Boosh
I know, I know, this isn't technically an Adult Swim show, it's a British import, but we have Adult Swim to thank for bringing it to our attention. You don't know true happiness until you witness the supreme wonderment that is The Mighty Boosh. The hilarious chemistry between Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt is something that can't be missed. There's fantastic music, insane characters, and a talking gorilla-what's not to love? What I'm trying to get at is that the charm of the Boosh is made of some bizarre combination of wonderful things our brains just can't understand.

"Easy now, you fuzzy little man peach? You ever drunk Bailey's from a shoe? Wanna come to a club where people wee on each other?" - Old Gregg

The Venture Bros.
The Venture Bros. might be one of the greatest cartoons ever created. It's smart, funny, and consistently gets better with age. This show is one of those gems that you have to watch from the beginning to truly appreciate, primarily because Jackson Publick developed the characters and stories to thoroughly that skipping a season or two will leave you in the dark. Trust me, it is beyond worth it to spend time with this great show.

Metalocalypse
This show, created by Brendon Small and Tommy Blacha, the antithesis of Small's previous series Home Movies. There's nothing lovable about the characters of the part-American and part-Scandinavian death metal band Dethklok,, but you can't help loving them anyway. The show is gory, hilarious, and often uncomfortable, but that's what makes the show fantastic. If you're a fan, treat yourself to a life Dethklok performance if you're lucky enough to be in a city on their tour itinerary.

Hold On, Where's Family Guy and Futurama on This List?
Yes, I acknowledge that these are fantastic shows, but they aren't Adult Swim shows. Yes. I know that The Mighty Boosh is an import from the BBC Three, but we wouldn't even know about it in America if it wasn't for Adult Swim picking it up. That's why it's on this list.

What about Space Ghost??
I'm reviewing current shows, not old favorites (and it definitely is a favorite!).
