Above ground pools are always going to be bigger which is going to increase the size of the capacity for both people and water. If you want to save money on water and heating costs and maintenance costs, you may benefit from an above ground swimming pool.
A disadvantage of an above ground swimming pool is that they cannot have a diving board and they are not very deep. Usually the standard above ground swimming pool is only about 6 feet deep which will not help you for diving and deep swimming.
If you plan on getting a ground pool you are going to be spending more money than if you were to go with an above ground pool.
