Is Ghost Ship Sign of New Dimensional Portal?
There were no lifeboats on board, but all of the survival equipment and life jackets were found unused, almost as if the crew had walked off the ship of its own accord to go to some unknown location.
The craft, a catamaran named "Kaz II", was boarded by police after being reported as drifting about eighty miles off the country's northwest shore on April 20. The story released by the press about the crew brings to mind similar incidents of the past.
Officials are puzzled by the strange fate of the ship and its crew. First, the engine was running yet no one was found on board. A meal was prepared and sitting on the table. A spokesperson told reporters that there wasn't enough information available to even guess at the men's fate. The search was cancelled, and the reason given was that the crew had been washed out to sea during a storm that the ship sailed through, but there are some holes in the story.
A storm wicked enough to have sent all three men overboard would no doubt have forced water inside the ship, yet the cabin was dry. That same storm should have tossed things around inside the cabin, yet food and full table settings for three were still on the table. A laptop computer was turned on and ready to use, yet if the men did disappear from the Kaz II last Sunday, the computer's battery should have died from the unit being kept on for nearly a week.
One sail on the ship was torn, yet forensics experts could find no sign of violence or foul play on board. There were no lifeboats on board, but all of the survival equipment and life jackets were found unused, almost as if the crew had walked off the ship of its own accord to go to some unknown location.
People are beginning to speculate on the similarities between this incident and others from the past involving seagoing vessels, most notably the Mary Celeste, an ill-fated ship discovered adrift off the coast of Portugal in 1872 with its crew gone, as well as its sextant, captain's log, lifeboat, and chronometer. Paranormal experts have theorized about such events for a long time.
One explanation for such disappearances of crew members is that strange conditions at sea lead a crew to abandon ship, thinking its destruction is at hand, whereupon they are "sucked" into a trans-dimensional portal and out of our known universe. Such portals are speculated to exist in locations like the famous "Bermuda Triangle", and in some cases are blamed for ships and planes vanishing completely, only to be found years later with little or no damage. Another theory revolves around UFOs due to radio reports of bright lights in the sky before planes and ships vanish. The crews of the UFOs, it's been said, snag the humans for unknown reasons and leave their craft behind.
Whether such a portal or UFO "hot spot" has recently opened up in the waters off the Great Barrier Reef remains to be seen, but if more ghost ships show up in that region, the paranormal theorists will have a field day.
