Product Review: Time Out Extreme Strawberry Body Lotion
How does this body lotion feel, and how well does it moisturize?
I like that this body lotion has safflower oil as its second ingredient in the ingredient list behind water. This inclusion makes me think right off the bat that this lotion might be a good moisturizer because safflower oil is known for being a very effective natural moisturizer, owing to its high fatty acid content. The product also has corn oil in it, but it is mostly made up of alcohol and other chemical derivatives.
Time Out Extreme Strawberry Body Lotion looks a bit like a thicker, paler Pepto-Bismol and smells a little bit like a strawberry daiquiri. It really does do a good job of moisturizing, probably because it is made with safflower oil, and the faint strawberry scent it leaves on your skin is really quite pleasant. It blended into my skin easily, however, and it didn't feel like it had that greasy residue that some moisturizers and body lotions possess.
I would rate Time Out Extreme Strawberry Body Lotion at a three out of five. I enjoy the scent and the feel of the body lotion on my skin. It's good for getting at those really rough and dry areas like your heels, elbows, and the bottoms of your feet. I also appreciate that it is made with at least a couple of natural ingredients that are genuinely healthy for the skin, which is something of a rarity in the mainstream cosmetics business. It's not perfect, however, and I would prefer a product without quite as many chemicals and alcohols, so while I'll continue to use Time Out Extreme Strawberry Body Lotion, I'll be looking for something a little more natural in the meantime.
